Hey, i was just wondering is the new iPod touch any good? I've fancied a touch for a while now but never really got round to it.
Can anyone who has the new iPod please tell me some pros and cons or something, it looks good, and ive played on a few apps from the old touches, but is there anything completely new?
Thanks. :v:
Well firstly the display is higher res, secondly it has a camera, thirdly multitasking.
It's one of the best PMPs on the market
I heard it also has an app that is basically a videocall? Is this true?
ipod touch 4 will be a good buy

Yeah ill probablys get one of these, thanks guys :v:
I was wondering is there still a big difference between the ipod 4g 8gb and the 32gb ?
24gb
I have one, :iia:
GET GET GET
I was thinking of getting one too, but I don't want to make a new thread. but does this have fm radio like some other ipods?
nope. the camera sucks too

The best camera is the camera you have is the one that's with you. The new screen looks very nice, I loved the pixel density on my BlackBerry Bold, though it seems the pixels are even smaller than that. Pretty amazing.

I fancy a touch too :smug:
The video feature in the camera is really good, but the pictures are pretty bad, but still if you just need to take a pic fast it is okay. Retina display is amazing and yes there is facetime for video calls :) Good luck
nope. the camera sucks too
actually video recording is surprisingly better than photos. however aside for the camera it's still a great device. considering that the camera is really just something extra it doesn't matter if it's imperfect.
i hate that apple got away with putting such a bad camera in it, its so grainy. Video recording looks brilliant though
p.s. :iia:
Is it worth buying if I have the 3g iPod Touch already?
I bought one and I have no regrets, everything about it is pretty awesome, and the cameras are a sweet bonus.

In my opinion, no.
Yes. I love it.

They shouldnt have made it thinner then so that a better one would fit, it doesn't even look that thin compared to the old iPod anyway
uh if it was thinner then an even "worse" one would fit how are you not understanding this

and what do you mean doesn't look thin compared to the old one, you mean the old iPod touches? that's hilarious as it actually is the thinnest of the four generations.
He's stating that the size reductions should have not been made in the first place; due to them, they had to use a crappier camera module. If they had stayed with the previous size, they would have been able to fit a better camera module.
I'm about to upgrade from a touch 2G.
I was a little disappointed that it doesn't share the iPhone 4's 512mb of RAM though.
At least now we have a jailbreak!

you should learn to read dude, i said it SHOULDNT have been made thinner, and that it doesnt look that thin compared to the old models so its not a necessary design alteration
i personally don't give a fuck about the camera i use it once every two weeks or so.

Apple has disclosed that the iPhone 4 uses 256MB dedicated to cellular radio, GPS, compass, etc. basically phone stuff. and that right now applications and everything else in the device can only access the other 256MB.
that's why the iPod touch only has 256MB.

what might make it not nearly as obvious is that the 4th gen touch has a flattened back, none of the other iPod touches have flat backs.

Where the hell does Apple get all their fake emails and photos? I always wondered that.
