Hoping for government contracts I'd assume.
Bringing MicroSD cards back is great, but if there's still no removable battery I'll stick with LG phones.
Good, that was the only reason I went for the S5 instead of the S6. I still can't believe they did that.

Don't you use a G2?
Don't you use a G2?
G3 4 lyfe
I'm hoping SD card storage makes a comeback because I want to go for a Nexus this year when my contract runs out but I really need the expandable storage
Never understood why they went with the Steve Jobs mentality. If I wanted a phone like an iphone for the same price point I would of gotten a iphone

Google were going hard against them partially because the average user is a moron who don't realize cheap SD-cards often don't last long and are also slow as shit, and because many app developers didn't handle their apps data storage on them in a neat and standardized fashion.
Basically idiots ruining it for everyone else.

Simple, $$$.
Need more storage than the base 32GB model? Pay up $100 and buy the 64GB model instead of $20 for a SD card

Meanwhile my mega midrange m4 aqua handles alright, accepts cards up to 128gb iirc and resists water.
I just wish it was smaller, like say, 4.6
Compact high range Sony phones are almost non existant here, not to mention expensive.
making people pay extra for extra storage for a phone that has no microSD slot is scummy and I'll never buy or keep a phone that doesn't have removable storage
Micro SD ports are a HUGE feature really. Insanely useful too, because I can also put it into my PC and put music onto the card itself rather than the phone.

I've had a 16gb SD card fro years no problem, before changing it with a 32gb
even if they're slow as shit they're far more than enough for a phone
You can still get a case for the S6 that adds SD functionality.
But I guess that's more money

I've dealt with far too many people I know buying bargain bin SD cards that's either being slower than paint drying, or crapping out with barely any use.
With retards whining about that, combined with the other issue, I wouldn't be surprised if Google went the easy nannying route of trying to ditch them, instead of tough-love educating both those who bough shit SD cards, and those who made apps that dumped data on them in a retarded fashion.

A bunch of reasons really.
a) Offering different pricepoints just for storage tends to be lucrative
b) internal storage tends to be somewhat faster than cards (for a bunch of reasons)
c) apple was doing it
I just got an s6 edge upgrade a week ago so I wouldn't be behind anymore. :pudge:

note 5 is hardly old and you need a new phone why??
where's the FM radio?
I'm not sure if I should stick to my note 3 or try to upgrade.
note 5 is hardly old and you need a new phone why??
Because I work extremely long days and I work hard. I need my phone for a large number of reasons beyond email etc. A couple of hundred bucks on upgrading isn't the biggest concern considering how much I use it.
Also the lack of an SD slot is annoying as an SD card is great for shit like music and pictures. I haven't completely filled up my phone just yet but I would if I was bothered enough.
I upgraded to the note 5 because my note 3 stopped charging and had a few issues.

and what exactly can galaxy s7 do what your galaxy note 5 can't do?
where's the FM radio?
just wanted to ask this, if I want to pay for a premium phone it better have everything that an average phone has...... it hurts inside to see a list of S phones without a basic function.
and what exactly can galaxy s7 do what your galaxy note 5 can't do?
He just said there's no SD card slot.
Though I still don't see how that's a problem, I don't even have half the space on my Note filled and I have a fuckton of apps and music downloaded.
no if that's a big problem for him that's fine
he just sounded like he wants a new phone because his current one is not as new anymore
