• What the fuck has iTunes done with my alert tones!?

Okay I had a few Alert Tones and Ringtones on my iPhone. They were purchased and downloaded through the iTunes app. The phone was previously synced to a Mac and worked fine, however, after syncing it to a Windows PC (the Mac is now with my sister on the mainland) all my Alert Tones and Ringtones are gone. Is there any way I can get them back? I've gone to the Tones in the store (on my phone) and it just asks me if I wish to purchase it again. What the fuck is going on? Has Apple just stolen about £5 worth of my money and refused to give it back?
Check if you have logged into the right account on iTunes first, if nothing works then call Apple
Great.. I hate making phone calls.
good thing you got an iphone
Why are you so angry. Don't get pissed at whoever picks up the phone at Apple, either. It's not gonna help.
I'm not angry, I'm just ridiculously shy and I often lock up when making phone calls. [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] Also, I know not to get angry at customer support.
did you remember to transfer the purchases before reformatting to PC?
Remove your credit card from your iTunes account and tell iTunes to purchase again. It should say "oh you already purchased this, i'll just download it", but just in case that's only with iOS apps (for some stupid reason), removing your card won't cause you to purchase twice.
If you bought them and they're just DRM'd media, you need to have copied the original files and reauthorized the new PC using the iTunes account associated with the content. iTunes won't re-permit you to download the files if they don't have the licences for them themselves, hence why you need the originals and to reauthorize the new PC to be able to manage them.

The files had been synced to the mac and often came on when on shuffle. First thin I did was authorise the new computer, they showed up in the library but with the exclamation mark. I hit sync and boom they disappeared.
