How do I remove write protection from a MICRO SD card?

Newegg just sent me this write-protected piece of trash (16gb microsd class 10). I was planning to use this with my android.
I cannot write files onto the card. It gives me an error that it is write protected.
Note:
-I have already taped the micro sd adapter's switch to the unlocked position (which is a popular solution, but in my case it's not the adapter)
-I have tried it on several different computers
-I put it in my smartphone and it was not recognized
-I cannot format it because it's obviously write protected
How can I fix this? Thanks.
A micro SD card? I'm not sure what that is but I know what an actual SD card is. If I think what you're talking about is what i am thinking, then take the SD card out and there should be a switch. flip the switch and the write protection will be off. It's on the side, so look around it.

it looks like this. It has no switch and most of the time you put it in your cellphone.
The adapter, however, has a switch but I already taped it to the unlock position. It's not the adapter, it's the micro sd card.
