I feel sorry for the poor bastards there
Only getting four years in prison in the Middle East for intent to distribute drugs is really an act of generosity and kindness. The only reason why was because they were [del]white and[/del] from a Westernized nation. If they were Pakistani, Indian or even Arab instead then may God have mercy on their souls.
Cameron is going to be meeting the UAE president on Thursday anyways, so they're most likely going to be quietly and swiftly freed back to Britain.
Thats the punishment you pay for visiting a shit country.

The point relies heavily more on the fact that they're British
You specifically said "white", Starpluck.
Lucky for them it wasn't Saudi Arabia.

Yeah that was my fault for assuming they just because they from British. Again, that error is negligible. No other human (including a local) would be given such a light sentence had they not been from a developed Westernized nation. There was one instance in the UAE where a British woman was given a normal sentence that any other person would typically receive for distributing drugs, but as expected, she was freed weeks later.

UAE is fantastic if you're a rich foreigner.
My friend lives in Dubai. Law is fucking harsh over there.

Not even that, I've lived there for 3 years and I'm not really the richest. Everything is quite cheap and affordable.
