Please help i can't stand one more minute on this mac ! I've tried switching the ram over and verifying the cables where all plugged in correctly but i have my doubts on the power supply and the system pannel connectors

Can you take a picture of the entire case ? When you push the power button, is the motherboard powered on (you usually have a LED on the motherboard to tell you) ?
Is the PSU switch turned on ? is the computer plugged in ?

Yes the computer is plugged in the PSU switch is turned on and no LED on the motherboard shows when i press the power button. I will send some pictures as soon as i can bluetooth some over with my phone.
Is this the one you have ?

If so, check if you have correctly powered the CPU and the motherboard :
Top left : 8-pin CPU power connector
Mid right : 24-pin ATX power connector.
(Use the third picture, one with the top down view.)

Is the CPU inside the socket ?
You should see a very small power button on the motherboard, try to start it from here.
[editline]21st January 2014[/editline]
From the pictures i can't find the motherboard power button, maybe check the manual ?

I cant find it either
Check if the front panel power button and LED are correctly plugged in.
[QUOTE=Nanamil;43611074]Check if the front panel power button and LED are correctly plugged in.[/QUOTE]
I did that correctly after i had my doubts they are in properly.

Cant find anything in the manual
I'm out of ideas. If the motherboard and the cpu are plugged in, and the front panel power button too i don't see why the motherboard is not starting.
I'll try to look online for answer.

Merci mon ami  . I'm very annoyed and quite sad that after 3 months of waiting this happens.
Maybe the motherboard or the PSU is shot? I couldn't see how seeing as the PSU arrived 2 days ago and the motherboard today. I hope i wont have to replace anything seeing as I'd have to wait next year since i have no more money.
Can you take a clear picture of the front panel plugs on the motherboard.
I'm with a friend right now he is checking with me, if you have mumble and a micro i could help you better.

I have skype ? And that's about the best picture i could get . I noticed some bent wiring when i installed the cpu but since it was out of the box i thought nothing of it.
Some of the CPU pins were bent the wrong way ?

I think so i will check, might just be my mind screwing with me.
Hopefully it is.

At the bottom of the motherboard you have JCOM1, JTPM1 etc... Can you check their usefulness with the manual ?
I'm downloading the manual from MSI website.
Alright i just checked, so the only useful one right now is JFP1 and you did use it. Unplug all JFP1 wires and plug them again following the manual's instructions.
[QUOTE=Nanamil;43611278]Hopefully it is.

The wires seem normal, JCOM1 = Serial Port Connector, JTMP1 = TPM Module Connector , JBAT1= Clear CMOS Jumper, JAUD1 Front Pannel Audio Connector, JFP1&JFP2= System Pannel Connectors
I wont screw the fan back on until you see the images.

Alright thanks.
[editline]21st January 2014[/editline]
So i think some of the socket's pins are bent yeah.
I think you're gonna have to send the motherboard back.
The chip itself is fine but the motherboard wires on image 2 to the right of the CPU placement they seem funny.

Yes in France you have a 7 days delay to send your goods back. Send it back tomorrow and contact amazon support. Hopefully the same laws apply in the UK.
Contact Amazon support first.
[editline]21st January 2014[/editline]
MSI should have a 1 year warranty too.

Ok thanks, ill just try and keep the other stuff from dust and stuff and place them in some of the boxes i havent thrown out. Merci ma geule t'etait magique ce soir!
Do you think they will send back a new one or just refund me?
[editline]21st January 2014[/editline]
Anyways ill do that all tomorow it's late i have school good night!
They usually fix it and send it back. It takes time tho (2/3 weeks).
Et derien. Ué pareil bonne nuit.
[editline]21st January 2014[/editline]
Also keep all your boxes from all the hardware until the warranties ends.
Does it start up at all, or just not post?
You can fix bent pins sometimes. Try and bend them back with a toothpick. Also only the higher end motherboards have power buttons. If the motherboard wasn't coming on and all, and there was no response, bent pins isn't your only problem (of course it is definitely [I]a[/I] problem). The PSU could be fried, but what is more likely is that you don't have the power button connected properly. Try shorting the pins to start the computer after bending the pins back. If it still doesn't work RMA the motherboard.
Also, if you call/ send an email to the support of Amazon/MSI support, don't tell them you did it (even if you did not do it). Tell them it was during shipping.
I am going to send it back tomorrow and it wasn't me as i said as soon as it came out of the box it was like that but i thought that it was it's original shape. I can't see how the PSU could be fried as it arrived only 1-2 days before i even started the build. The only wires i wasn't sure about came with the tower it was 2 long wires connected to each other in an long rectangle shape and i think they corresponded to the USB 3.0 port since that was the only port that looked like it would fit.
And how could i not have the power button in correctly...All i have to do is plug it in and press on.

Yes, that is the USB 3.0 port. But did you try just jumping the pins with a screwdriver? It's a 2 second process and can rule mis-wiring or a bad button out.

I didn't try anything like that, i just said to them I'd send it back today so they've sent me another one. I think it will arrive Saturday.
Oh and I did the paperclip trick, i felt wind on the bottom of the PSU (where the fan is) and heard either the hard drive turn on or the disk reader or both!
Scratch that i don't know what i heard then, the hard drive or disk reader isn't even plugged in...
Oh and does the CPU look damaged in ANY way? (this is my biggest worry of all time since i have got thermal paste on it and they will never take it back.)
