Hello, I have a problem that is very disturbing as I have had this computer only since christmas of 2009. I was in the middle of playing sims 3 because my internet was down. In the middle of making my house, my computer crashed and said saving temporary files. It then went to the blue screen saying there was a crash. I then tried rebooting it with a saved hardrive copy, and it wouldn't reload. So that wasn't working so I logged in normally and it was working fine for 15 minutes then crashed again. I am thinking this problem is with the processor or I have a nasty virus. Does anyone have an idea what this is? INFO: It crashes when not even playing sims 3. It crashes doing anything.
What error did the Blue screen give? And at what OS are you? (Windows XP, vista or 7?) You could try going safe mode and do a virusscan if you suspect a virus. Oh and is the pc you have a pre built or did you build it yourself.

I bought this computer from Best Buy as I am crap with computers.
Sounds like overheating. -Write down or take a pic of the bluescreen code. -Download HW monitor and check your temperatures after 10 minutes of load. -Also post your pc brand and model (or full system specs)
What is the error code of the BSOD (with the parameters for it) the error code is something like 0x12345678

How do I fix it? I've cleaned out the dust and stuff
Make sure it's getting good ventilation, leave space around it, don't put anything on top or the sides. Also, turn your AC on and make it really cold. Like 50 degrees. You'll be cold but it will fix it if you leave it for a few hours.
