Hello, I currently have a pre-built Gateway desktop computer, the model number for it is, SX2800-01c. It runs fine except the graphics card has a problem and seems to crash (It also might be heating and lack of power problems too). What I want to do is upgrade the graphics card. I know if I upgrade the graphics card I need to upgrade my power supply, and if I want to upgrade my power supply I need to get a bigger case.
The three things I am looking for are a
-new case that will work and fit everything
-new graphics card ( Something around $100-$170)
-new power supply capable of running all of my hardware
I need to upgrade because my current graphics card is faulty and I also want some better preformance.
Side noet: The graphics card needs to run 1920x1200 resolution too. Some of the games I want to run are Company of Heros, Source games, Operation flashpoint. Try to keep everything around $200-$250 please.
I live in Canada.

Are you %100 sure that case would work, because buying a card and PSU is pretty easy, but seeing how this is a pre-built will the case work with my motherboard, etc, etc
Nevermind, you're screwed on upgrading. BTX form factor so you can't do anything, even if you got a new case.
What does that mean ?
Could I just get a new card anyways and have my PSU hanging out ?
Haha no..
Why not, i dont see a problem with it? If dust collection is a problem I dont care Ill just blow it out once a month or whatever
I honestly can't see a problem with it, either. Just make sure to not tip the PSU over or something like that, because if a cable going from the PSU to the mobo gets disconnected while the machine is on, it can result in pretty serious consequences.
Now we'll just have to find a GPU that suits your needs and case.

Wait, this is how the PC looks on the inside?

Yeah, I'm sorry, then. There's nothing you can do about it.
And this, children, is why you don't buy prebuilts.
