• My USB network cards function in some machines, and not in others.

What would cause this? My Nintendo Wi-Fi adapter works about 80% of the time without connectivity issues, but sometimes acts up and won't connect to anything at all for a few hours. Second USB Wi-Fi stick (Airlink 101) won't even be detected by the system, as if it's not even plugged in. No USB "Du-dunk" when i plug or unplug, nothing asking me for drivers, nothing at all. It only works about 15% of the time I try to use it. I can only think that the USB contacts might be dirty, or corroded? How would I even go about cleaning them in such tight space. Any help is appreciated.
Bump, I need help.
