i know this is an automatic process, but i would like to know how do restore it to its real task, just for...you know, see fps differences.
any help?
I think you misread the reading. Post where you read Graphics Card using 1GB RAM
Could be thinking of integrated graphics...?
Eh??
So, you want the card to use less V-RAM? That's what I'm getting from this. I don't know how that'd work.
what i mean is that i have 4 gb of ram, 1 of those is going to the graphics card so it says it has 2048 or something of vram, when it actually has just 1 gb, so i just have 3 gb of ram.
for example, its says i have 4.00 gb, but 3.00 gb usable
do you run 32-bit windows or 64-bit?
64 bit
Disable any Video ram in bios aswell as PCI overlap
Thats called virtual memory and is normal.
What GPU do you have annyway.
It must be onboard graphics that uses your ram as its vram. This is not uncommon, and I don't think there's much you can do about it. Are you ever using the full 3gb that you have available anyway? If not, then I wouldn't worry about it.
its just a gta iv thing anyway, i had good performance until this thing came up, for some reason.
Its a 6950 ati hd 1gb
