Which was your favorite and did the best job portraying the Joker (in your opinion)? I choose Jack Nicholson. To help with your decision... Jack: 13 Heath: 19 Mark Hamill: 8 Cesar Romero: 1 (Could I get a mod to make this into a poll or something, please?)

Although I liked Nicholson, I always pictured The Joker as darker and more twisted. Therefore I go with Ledger.
I can't choose... they each played a Joker roll, and they each made the Joker's character their own. They each did a phenominal job, and helped make the Joker an infamous staple in the history of villains. However, many of the children on these forums were born after 1990, and probably haven't seen the original Batman movie, so they automatically pick Heath Ledger before giving Jack Nickelson any chance. I liked them both.
HL. I also quite like Arkham Asylum's rendition
Well, fuck. Ledger I guess. Though I still think Nicholson was great. EDIT:
I also quite like Arkham Asylum's rendition
Mark Hamil.
I always thought Jim Carey would make a better Joker than the Riddler.
Mark Hamill.

He was what people portrayed the Joker as. He made jokes and was as sarcastic as it gets, and still evil as fuck. Heath was less joke, more evil.

Jack.
Nicholson. Though to elaborate more, I reckon Hamill does a better Joker than either of them.
Heath.
Heath.
Your vote doesn't count. :smug:
Jack Nicholson
death ledger [sp] arr hoo hoo get it?[/sp]
Heath was amazing .. but aside from the makeup and a couple of tricks ( the grenade shirt tied to his thumb) he seems just pure psycotic to me .. a little different and scary as hell yes but still just a man with problems. JACK however won my heart as the joker as his countless tricks jokes and deadly toys really put him in my mind as a super villian..not just a disturbed psyco with makeup. plus by being shot in the face then falling into the vat of chemicals perminantly scretched his skin into that freakish smile and bleached it white. I loved the face he had to put make up ON to look normal..ish My vote goes to Jack
Mark and Jack
Mark Hamill played Luke Skywalker, so why is his name even coming up..?
Mark Hamill played Luke Skywalker, so why is his name even coming up..?
He played the Joker in the original cartoon from the early '90's and in the Arkham Asylum game.
Mark Hamill played Luke Skywalker, so why is his name even coming up..?
he also does the voice for Joker in the animated series (from the 90s) and the new game Arkham Asylum and (though I can't speak to the former) he does a damn good job in AA

But Heath Ledger just has a shitload of makeup.
Jack freaked me out in The Shining, but Heath did the better Joker, though both Batman films had a different style. Mark beats both of them handsdown though. :downs:
Mark Hamil Jack Toffee [editline]02:29PM[/editline] in that order
Heath
Cesar Romero Or if I must choose, Heath.
I think they can't be compared, because they both played the Joker completely different. Also, Mark Hamill is fucking incredible, I mean, come on, he's Luke Skywalker.
