I like this very much. I was about to say it's going to be annoying convincing my friends to buy Magicka again but if it's free to play then that gets rid of that hurdle. I look forward to attempting to combine water beams and cold beams at people.
The real question is: will it be as laggy and unreliable and crashing every damn minute as the original one?

It's even a completely different development team (Paradox North instead of Arrowhead). Looking forward to this game. Combining a streamlined Magicka game with objectives and MOBA-ish elements looks like a winning formula for weeks of multiplayer fun.
The real question is: will it be as laggy and unreliable and crashing every damn minute as the original one?
wouldn't be magicka if the netcode wasn't shit, causing you to fly around randomly and die without anything even on the screen
Oh shit. I'm in.
The MOBA format with combat that isn't exceptionally dull. A great idea when it's Magicka's combat we're talking about.
