Fucking celebrity prison. I'm pretty sure normal people would have gotten a lot longer for not even 10 percent of what he evaded.
Fucking celebrity prison. I'm pretty sure normal people would have gotten a lot longer for not even 10 percent of what he evaded.
Im amazed he didnt get off sooner, knowing how celebrity prisons work. 3 years is probably a record.
I didn't even know he was in prison.
Fucking celebrity prison. I'm pretty sure normal people would have gotten a lot longer for not even 10 percent of what he evaded.
I think that if someone was able to evade as much as him then they'd also be able to afford the lawyers to get their sentence reduced to a minimum. So it's more about wealth, not celebrity. I'm impressed he's served all 3 years tbh.
Fucking celebrity prison. I'm pretty sure normal people would have gotten a lot longer for not even 10 percent of what he evaded.
Hey, this is already considerably longer than most celebrities. They normally get a couple weeks.
I didn't even know he was in prison.
didn't realise this many fp members weren't reading the news 3 years ago.. Snipes going to jail was quite a big thing then since you rarely see fairly high profile actors go to jail.
I remember Snipes going to jail, but I didn't realize just how long ago it was. It feels like I was reading the news about it just yesterday.
hasn't he been in like a few films in the past 3 years? [editline]6th April 2013[/editline] how did he manage that?
hasn't he been in like a few films in the past 3 years? [editline]6th April 2013[/editline] how did he manage that?
no
no
he was in 2012's gallowwalkers He was in a 2011 game as a voice actor he was in 2010's "game of death" and 2009's "brooklyns finest"
he was in 2012's gallowwalkers He was in a 2011 game as a voice actor he was in 2010's "game of death" and 2009's "brooklyns finest"
Gallowwalkers was filmed in 2006 and game of death finished filming shortly before he went to jail. He wasn't in jail in 2009/8 so doing brooklyn's finest wasn't an issue. I can't find out anything about the video game except a youtube video where people commenting are claiming it's just a sound alike and IMDB is wrong.
Gallowwalkers was filmed in 2006. idk about the rest yet, still looking
well fuck IMDB on that one then
well fuck IMDB on that one then
it's explained in the trivia part of the IMDB listing "In October 2006, while filming this movie, Wesley Snipes was indicted on a litany of tax-dodging charges, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Production on the film began before the Grand Jury returned the indictment. On Dec. 8th, 2006 Snipes flew into his hometown of Orlando on a private jet and voluntarily turned himself in. Snipes pleaded not guilty to all charges; he was released on $1 million bond and allowed to return to Africa to finish this movie. "
It's been three years already? Damn.
can't believe he's 50, what a legend
Now go make me some blade movies you son of a bitch.
Fucking celebrity prison. I'm pretty sure normal people would have gotten a lot longer for not even 10 percent of what he evaded.
It was a misdemeanor conviction. Read the article
Its funny how some people are like "THE PUNISHMENT SHOULD FIT THE CRIME" then some famous dude did three years in prison for tax related crimes and it isn't enough...Christ people. Not only did he do time, he more then likely lost a lot of money and paid a lot of money, and on top of that is reputation is a bit stained. I think that is punishment enough for a fucking misdemeanor crime.
I'm glad he's out. I loved the blade movies, I wonder if he will do anything again that would even be remotely good.
hasn't he been in like a few films in the past 3 years? [editline]6th April 2013[/editline] how did he manage that?
since he has to pay back those taxes and interest, they let him work while in prison, meaning he went from jail, to the set, and back, its not like he was in maximum security, he was in like the lowest security you can get [editline]6th April 2013[/editline] the stipulation though was he didn't get to keep most of what he earned in those movies, most went to the irs [editline]6th April 2013[/editline] ah nvm, he had to work while in prison, but not in films
I hope he stayed in shape so he can make movies with Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and all the other old man action movie stars. I mean, he was aging in Game of Death (right before he went to prison) and he still moved pretty goddamn well in that movie. His fighting technique is crisp as fuck.
where they ever thinking of making a Blade IV.?
where they ever thinking of making a Blade IV.?
I hope not, blade 2 was medicore and blade 3 was fucking BAD. I'd be cool with it if they could get the crew from the original film though. That movie oozes cool and style. Badass fight scenes too without all of this really terrible CGI and triple-dipple somersault moves for no reason.
I hope he's been lifting. I want to see him in some cool action movie. Maybe he will appear in the next Ramon Film Productions flick.
