• F-22 Ground Crew Suffered Hypoxia-Like Symptoms
Fresh on the heels of yesterday’s announcement by the Air Force that it thinks the hypoxia-like symptoms suffered by F-22 Raptor pilots may be caused by the jets high-altitude performance, reports are emerging that ground crew are also suffering from similar ailments when they stand near the jet while it’s engines are running. Interesting. At least five ground maintainers complained of illness between September and December, Air Combat Command spokesman Lt. Col. Tadd Sholtis said in an Air Force Times article that hit the newsstands Monday. The maintainers grew sick after breathing in ambient air during ground engine runs, a congressional aide told Air Force Times. I imagine that the service is looking at the rates of sickness for ground crew of other jets to make sure that the Raptor maintainers are actually suffering from something unique to the stealth jet. If they are, it seems to indicate that the problem is indeed related to contaminates emanating from the plane rather than a lack of oxygen getting to the pilots during flight. Just yesterday, one of the Air Force’s top acquisitions officials, Lt. Gen. Janet Wolfenbarger told Senators that the service suspects that the F-22’s On-Board Oxygen Generating Systems (OBOGS) are either feeding the pilots contaminated air or aren’t giving them enough air to breath. She added that the problem may be related to the extreme altitudes that Raptors routinely execute high-G maneuvers in. Needless to say, this latest news puts an interesting twist on that claim. Apparently, F-22 ground crew have been issued canisters designed to take air samples whenever they feel the onset of hypoxia. Maybe the planes are cursed or some shit.

Clearly, the United States government is using extraterrestial technology in their experimental aircraft, which humans cannot handle due to the G-force and radiation.
That's scary. Hopefully they'll figure it out, and it is easily fixable.
Fighter jet cockpits are pressurized and you can breathe fine at any altitude within their service range. However during combat, pilots will don the masks that hang off the helmets and will breathe air from that. The O2 mix can be different in the mask, and the mask will keep the pilot alive in the event of a depressurization. Also extremely important is the fact that the mask will force air into you when making high G maneuvers. Normally you would be unable to breathe easily under many of the high speed turns necessary during combat, but the system recognizes the high G forces and will increase the pressure of the air heading to the mask to force air to permit the pilot to breathe. My guess is that there is something wrong with the Oxygen generator on the aircraft. Some aircraft carry tank O2, but I think the F-22 gathers atmospheric air and has a backup tank. We have used the systems before, but perhaps something is different with the system gathering air from the atmosphere. Like perhaps it is picking up a small amount of exhaust from the engines and is forcing that into the air supply, thereby causing people who are particularly sensitive to whatever is in it to report problems. That is a wild guess though.
http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1181141?p=35799804&viewfull=1#post35799804 Looks like I may have nailed it earlier. Not that I understand what could be in the exhaust from the aircraft that is any different than other jets. The fuel is same for almost everything inside each branch of the military.
Maybe the planes are cursed or some shit.
A new SCP.
That's weird. I wanted to work on f-22s instead of f-15s too. I'll try f-35s instead then.

The truth about stealth jets is that they harvest the souls of little children and then slowly feed them into a reverse particle dampening array which creates a backwards emitting signal on all frequency making the plane essentially invisible to all kinds of detection.

If I remember correctly, toxic gasses that were used as coolant leaked into the cockpits of the planes due to a design error. This might explain why ground crews are effected.
Obviously the planes were manufactured on an Indian burial ground.
