If we could go back to the year 1900 to visit our grandparents, how would they view us? Back then, life expectancy hovered around 40, people were largely dirt farmers and life was short and brutal. Viewing our rockets, jet airplanes, TVs, computers, and Internet, they would see us as sorcerers and wizards.
But if someone from 2100 could visit us now, how would we view them? Probably like the gods of mythology. They would command everything around them by wishing for it. They would have perfect and ageless bodies. And they would ride across the universe in magical chariots. In the past, we feared the gods of mythology. In the next 100 years, we will become them.
The "Cybernetic human" looks a bit :downs:

TL;DR version of what they list we can do in the future.
When interviewed around 300 top scientists they put this life scenario in perspective.
1. Internet would be your contact lens. Pretty much what the Matrix movie is about. Would be a worldwide use for artists, tourists, and those who suffer an illness would get an immediate indication.
2. Computers, cell phones, TVs, etc. all that mobile and standard electronics would be in a chip within the environment. We can turn on these chips and control all our electronic uses with the brain.
3. Cars are driver-less. Cars can fly or be on the road. Traffic and accidents won't happen because cars will be aware of other cars. Radars to avoid objects and people. Solves energy crisis.
4. Doctors can grow spare parts. Resurrect extinct lifeforms. Zoos will have animals we have never seen before.
5. Life span will be risen. Newborns could be designed to be stronger, smarter, and happier (No more emos anyone?).
6. Molecular smart bombs can zap any cancerous cells while circulating our entire blood flow.
7. Going to the bathroom is a check up on your body. They can detect 10 years ahead of any tumors. The word tumor will no longer be used in the English language. Even clothing can detect these cancers.
8. Robots will dwarf car industries. Would take care of most dangerous tasks and jobs. Most robots would be hidden from view. They would be polite, always help, and have emotions. Become our cooks, musicians, pets, etc.
9. Tourists can soar in space with the space elevator.
10. Advanced technologies will also bring a lot of problems. Global warming being one of them.
Neat, too bad I'll be dead
People will march around in fursuits screaming "STOP FURSECUTING MEEEE!!11"
Newborns could be designed to be stronger, smarter, and happier
Glad I'll be rotting in the ground before our world becomes this
For the sake of everyone in 2100 I hope this prediction is either wrong or we're all dead by then
Shitty topic covered horribly by a rag of a paper.
Why is this here?
Glad I'll be rotting in the ground before our world becomes this

why?
why?
Because that sounds dreadful. Imagine if people got to decide exactly what their children were like? The world would turn to shit so quickly.
It does sound pretty awful. It doesn't even sound like we are living life anymore.
By 2100, the humans will be dead and there will be no more elephants.
why?
Because when everyone is perfect everyone will be the same
Oh great flying cars, suddenly the death rate for car crashes hits 100%
Theres a reason we dont have flying cars lol, where we're going, we need roads.
Traffic and accidents won't happen because cars will be aware of other cars. Radars to avoid objects and people.
That'd be awesome If it was true
But then again, they once said we'd all have hovercars and jetpacks by the year 2000, yet here we are 11 years later...
No more emos anyone?
Does that mean there wouldn't be anymore Hot Topics?
Cause I love that store.
Let's not forget that Episode 3 will be out by then.

I heard Hot Topic sells candy bars so they can claim that at least something in the store has taste.
Fuck... Imagine Facepunch in 2100
"Hey guyz i just joined facepunch, i waz borns in zee year 2089 so im 11 plz respect me az im garrys great great great grandson!"

fucking 89ers
fucking 89ers
cant wait for "Fucking 69ers!"
It's funny if you watch science programs or 'future' TV shows from like the 80s and 90s, all the shit they predict is totally wrong.
No prediction made today of what the world will be like in 100 years will be correct.
I can assure you it will be completely different.

That's a ridiculous view.
Now excuse me whilst I go get some more deuterium for my flying fusion car, I have some martians to meet on Titan in twenty minutes.
The flying cars thing again... Since the early mid 1900's they've said By the year 2000 we'll all have flying cars!
Give it a rest already, they will definitely not be practical, ever, unless we completely revamp how air traffic works, and they cost as much as a normal new car

we can hardly handle 2 dimensions, imagine putting another one in
also - car crashes from 1 km in the air

Yeah I'll stick with earth bound hydrogen fuel cell cars.

quoted for truth
I highly doubt it, more like.
The world will be overpopulated
we'll have some large advancements in computing, robotics + Space travel.
thats about it.
The contact lense thing is probably true... we already have Contact lenses with HUDS on them
Didn't they shit almost exactly like this around 50 years ago, saying it would be now? Pretty sure it's the same case here.
By then I'll be 111 curse you!
