Sure, Wifi was invented in Australia
But I think this is pushing it
Spider wifi
"but it becomes more challenging for that notebook in the family room."
You mean those things that are generally already wifi-compatible because it'd be fucking stupid to not be?

Honestly, I just bought a shitty wi-fi adapter off of Wish (a store full of cheap shit from China) for this computer I have in my garage, and it actually works really well. Even though there's multiple walls between the router and that it still gets a 5-bar signal and I don't notice any awful waiting or anything.

Quite a few adapters can be trash but imo usb is a clunky solution for laptops, often you can just replace the chip inside.

I've had this one for years now and it has worked really well, there is a long usb cable for this one and you can even attach it somewhere with the included suction cup to get the best signal possible
Those really small adapters with no cable are mostly really shitty
The one from alfa that i use isn't even allowed where i live because it exceeds the allowed radiation power levels or something, it has 1000 mW yet my country only allows 500 mW :v:
i got one recently that is dual band, its working like a charm. Dont need to really splurge considering my internet only reaches 15 mb at peak anyway (yay for US shitty internet).
my experience with wifi adapters has always been that they shit themselves when you try doing anything other than just browsing the web, and even then sometimes thats too much

Yep, these are godly. Don't bother with anything else.
They're just super powerful WiFi adapters. No more, no less.
And for cheap too.
