• Looking for cheap GPU and SSD

So, I'm not really looking for anyone here do my work for me. But I was hoping people who frequent this forum might already be more familiar with all the latest hardware. Whereas I rarely look into these things anymore until I actually need to. Okay, basically I'm looking for really cheap stuff. I do play games occasionally. I'm not looking for an awesome rig. Just trying to bring my computer up to date a bit. I'm just looking to upgrade my video card. And pick up a decent SSD. Maybe a mobo since this one doesn't even have SATA 3. Currently I just play mostly Source games/mods and some older games I buy for cheap on Steam. But I'm going to start playing online soon. Probably starting out with BF3 and possibly Titan Fall. As well as rebuying some older X360 games that are also on the PC. Feel free to suggest more. Current Computer Specs: OS: Windows 7 Home Premium Edition (x64) CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition(Quad Core, clocked at 3.5(stock)) RAM: G Skill DDR3-PC3-12800 16GB GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB Here are two cards I found, normally I'd just research it myself. Which I did. But I got conflicting information. Please let me know. As for an SSD. A quick search found these: Mushkin Enhanced Chronos MKNSSDCR120GB 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC - 90USD PNY XLR8 SSD9SC120GMDF-RB 2.5" 120GB SATA III As far as SSDs go, I don't need something too big or even terribly fast. Just any decent SSD will do. Under 100USD. I'm not sure about a motherboard. This one seems to be holding up. Though it doesn't have USB3.0 nor SATA3. So I might be looking to get a new one if I can get one cheap. Any thoughts, suggestions, or advice is very much appreciated.
Those ssd's are ok, but if your motherboard doesn't even have sata 3 there is no point in having one. Majoraty of ssd's need sata 6 in order to get maximum performance out of them. As for the gpu I would look at the new GTX 750 ti that is coming out. It beats both of those cards for $150 price point. I don't think it's out yet but it will be out very soon. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147247 This ssd is a lot better than those and a lot more reliable for around the same price. Watch this video about it, he shows the features off.
Actually the 750 and 750 ti are out : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127783 I can't comment on the performance though
The performance of the 750Ti is a bit below the 650Ti Boost and R7 265 which theoretically have the same price point. The 650 Ti Boost is discontinued (and ridiculously more expensive because of this) and the R7 265 isn't actually available anywhere as far as i can see. Plus, the 265 is over twice as large and has a 2,5x as big TDP rating Don't get the regular 750 as it's significantly worse for barely a difference in price Review to get a clue about the performance: http://techreport.com/review/26050/nvidia-geforce-gtx-750-ti-maxwell-graphics-processor
I'll go with the GeForce GTX 750 Ti and the SSD Powgaming recommended. Thanks guys.
