Hey guys, I need to make a set corrupt images for my AS photography project (the theme is "covert and obscured"). I'm looking for something like this:

Now, how would I go about doing something like this?
open the image up in notepad or xvi32 and type stuff in
If you want more predictable results, you can always manipulate them in some image editing software, moving slices around, filling parts, applying some weird filters, etc.
Databending - or 'organically' glitching images - through text editors and such is more of a celebration of random results and luck - a bit more 'sporting' in a way. Doing it through deliberate manipulation can be more 'artistically' rewarding, but lacks that sense of digital 'nature' that makes these fun in the first place.
There is an entire world of people dedicated to this, google around for specific tips and techniques.
I do it by keeping the Photo viewer open with notepad++ next to it. Hitting Ctrl+S updates the image in real time.
There is a thread!

I wonder what would happen if you cut some part of the image data out and replace it with parts of another image
Kick your camera around.

I remember that thread! My image got 83 artistics lol
I prefer the audio editor methods the most. You get some cool smooth glitches that get some awesome colour separation.
