Is this video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150329 compatible with this motherboard?: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131340R
Should by my knowledge... Why are all motherboards better than mine :crying:
Make sure your PSU has 6-pin connectors! And yes.
Ok thank you.
Yeah but get a 4870 1GB instead.
Eew open box. What parts do you have already?
Well here, I finally came up with this. I kept the video card you gave me in a previous build along with the CPU. I downgraded everything else. I also got a good deal on an open box motherboard. (and no, I didn't use the motherboard or video card from the OP) https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=7295009
https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/publicWishDetail.aspx?wishlistnumber=7295009 Fixed link. 2 headsets? 2 power supplies? Open Box motherboard? Recertified hard drive? Other than that, looks good. I seem to remember a combo deal with a 720 and an ASUS mobo that took like $50 off the price.
Power supply only has one 6-pin connector..
That's why you use an adaptor to combine two 3-pin molex connectors into a 6-pin.
That's why you use an adaptor to combine two 3-pin molex connectors into a 6-pin.
is that safe to use compared to the 6pin cable?
Yes.
is that safe to use compared to the 6pin cable?
I'm currently using one of these with a splitter, so I have one molex which splits into two of the same which are both plugged into a PCI-E 6pin adapter no problems to date

Thank you for pointing out the other mistakes though. I will look for replacements and post them. Also, what do you mean a "720"?
Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.205337 That combo.
Eew open box.
There is nothing wrong with open box from newegg, if it's broken they will still take it back. However you will need cables as you only get the actual motherboard. I got an open box motherboard and it works fine.
