• Xonar DX difficulties

I am currently having detection difficulties with the Xonar DX when attempting to install the drivers for it, I was wondering what could possibly cause such an issue. My motherboard: the link has been removed by newegg, take a look at the picture further down the thread. I also appeared to have connected it to the appropriate power supply code, yet unfortunately not even a hardware wizard detects it when I boot the machine that it was physically installed on. I was wondering whether anyone else in this location experienced similar issues, or had suggestions on how to solve it.
Did you put it into the right port? It's important based on whether you got the PCI or PCIE version.
[editline]04:32AM[/editline] Also, your motherboard 404's.

Update: an RMA order has been submitted successfully and the card will be sent for refund relatively soon. I also simultaneously ordered the Xonar D1 which will hopefully be a more successful card.
Had a D2X before. There was somewhat of an issue of keeping it seated properly. Seems every couple of months it would need to be reseated.
Either it was simply DOA or your port is. There shouldn't really have been a problem.

I know there's a PCI-32 version of the Xonar, however I cannot remember it's full model name, if you think it's the port there's something wrong with.

D1 is just an older model of the DX pretty much anyway.
Try putting it onto one of the other PCIE slots on your mobo, if memory serves me correctly PCIE x1 cards work in x16 ports too.
Bit late now.
fucking goddammit
D1 is just an older model of the DX pretty much anyway.
As far as I am aware, their only difference is the preference of the slot, while their performance is virtually identical [editline]12:18AM[/editline]
Try putting it onto one of the other PCIE slots on your mobo, if memory serves me correctly PCIE x1 cards work in x16 ports too.
The motherboard has only one PCIE slot, and the larger slots have completely incompatible spacing from the mounters for the card to seat properly.
There's PCI versions of the DX too.
