MILLINGTON, Tenn. — U.S. Navy officials say a suspect is in custody after a shooting on Navy property at a facility in Tennessee.
A tweet on the Navy's official Twitter page says Naval Support Activity Midsouth in Millington, near Memphis, is on lockdown. One person is in custody, according to the Navy.
A Navy recruiter who had been relieved of duty shot two people at a Navy base north of Memphis and was quickly taken into custody, according to a law enforcement official who had been briefed on the developments.
Recruiters get really fucked up mentally, especially when they find out that someone they just recruited was KIA, they also gotta lie right through their teeth as part of their job. They too can go postal pretty quickly
We have evidence he was an avid player of the digital form of the classic, "Battleship."

Probably heard the 'Yvan eht nioj.' song 10,00 times...
Interesting that this didn't end in him committing suicide or getting shot. Maybe they can find out why he did it instead of just having to label it as 'he went crazy'.

Except he didn't steal a Destroyer and rampage the Navy's harbored ships.
He shot a couple folks up after losing his mind.
I'm joining the military soon, I've talked to a lot of different recruiters in a lot of different branches. One guy who I was going to got his office shut down due to lack of recruits. I feel bad for all parties involved, I couldn't imagine walking in to see your recruiter and he just goes fuckimg ballistic.

Finally, people from your hometown will be spared from your blind fury.
[sp]Just kidding, good luck in the military, dude[/sp]
Navy is my last option if I can't find work.
Also means I have to get in shape.
I was just by this place yesterday, crazy.

Urist McRecuiter, Navy Recruiter, has gone stark raving mad!
Millington...
I went to A school in Millington.
I too lost my mind there and ended up in the brig.
Didn't shoot anyone though.

You should really consider the Coast Guard or Air Force.
The smaller unit sizes will offer much more autonomy and responsibility than in the NAVY.
Unless you manage to go in through OCS. If that's the case then Fair Winds, sailor.
I joined the NAVY because I was homeless, without a job, and only had a GED. (And the only other alternative was the Army or McDonalds.)
Joining the military can be the best or worst decision to make.
Decent money if you handle it right.
The only preparation I did was to quit smoking. The physical side of it isn't that bad. Just a lot of yelling at first.

Urist McLegendarysmith cancels task, interrupted by Navy Recruiter
Guess he found out Gomer Pyle was looking for a transfer.

Not surprising, just look at this leaked footage of some Navy recruiters practically forcing this unwilling guy into service:

It gets better. They have a naval base in Nevada.
Maybe it's a missile range? I don't know.

Do the coast guard have any bases in Kansas or Nebraska? We need more ships inland. You never know when them terrorists might strike the local ponds.
