shit.
So the Canadians were complaining...?
It doesn't help much that 60% or so of that is taxes on taxes on the fuel. You guys really need to find a way to reign that back a bit.

"We" need to?
I think you mean GEORGE OSBOURNE needs to.
As much as I dislike this, this is the industry I'll be trying to get into after I graduate.
Won't this just continue to increase, unless of course we actually come across a substitute fuel that is as good as Petrol/Diesel (Or both combined hopefully, that would be awesome). So far it looks like I won't be able to afford any fucking fuel for my car.

No, it could come down if the fuel duty tax went down. But then the money would have to come from somewhere, so other taxes would go up
Invest in a bike then.

Hydrogen powered bikes are starting to look like a really good idea thesedays, and they're cheap to refuel.
The ENV can go something like 150km, and would be cheap to refuel, but it's a prototype as far as I know.
Since Iran closed the pipe-lines to France and UK, I was expecting this to happen sooner than now.
Now i know why my Mum and dad Rarely have petrol in their car.
They might as well travel like the Flintstones.
along with rising train fares, it almost seems like the government don't want us to get to work. It's costing me £10 for a 7 mile journey which is 1/4 of what i earn at work anyway, plus tax along with getting to college which is another £15 a day i'm actually in debt to my parents and the debt rises everyday. It's like go to college and be broke as hell (unis not even an option at all anymore) or quit higher education and stick with my shitty job for the rest of my life

Why should they care about UK prices?

Make sure you have good medical insurance when that flimsy two wheeled vehicle trips over, gets hit by a car, or rams into a pedestrian that walked into you!
looks like I'm sticking with the shoelace express.
-snip, I have been learn'ed-
But... isn't a gallon a gallon? :v:
all petrol in the uk is priced in litres and an imperial gallon is different to a us gallon
so no
But... isn't a gallon a gallon? :v:
A US gallon is 3.78 litres, an imperial gallon is 4.54 litres
now people are just gonna steal gas this is stupid
€1,70/liter currently on our CHEAPEST gas station.
I've seen prices go up to €2,- a liter on some more expensive ones.
Which makes our cheapest galon go for $8,30 if a galon is around 3.7 litres.
And a whopping $9,77 for a galon at a bit more expensive station.
So stop the whining about your gas prices.

The industry is getting worse hence the prices
Let's go bag us some OPEC Executives, eh?
now people are just gonna steal gas this is stupid
There's already an increase in car cloning, you can buy a pair of number plates off Ebay for £8, put someone else's registration on them, steal £60 of petrol
And I thought the $4.29/gallon was bad in the town I live in.
Bout that time eh?
Yep, as if humanity needed any more evidence that we need to kick our addiction to fossil fuels

Too bad our dear fossil fuel companies have been successfully blocking alternatives for a good 60 years.
