A man has died after "running amok" on board an Aer Lingus flight, after reportedly biting a fellow passenger during a mid-air altercation. The 25-year-old began "biting another passenger" and became "extremely violent" during the two-hour journey from Lisbon, Portugal to Ireland, the Irish Mirror reports. RTE reported that the man was unaccompanied and may not have been Irish. The pilot of the plane declared a "medical emergency" and diverted the Dublin-bound flight at 5.40pm on Sunday. A second man was taken to hospital after the incident, and it is believed he was treated for injuries sustained during some sort of altercation. The flight had over 170 people on board at the time. A post-mortem examination will now be conducted to determine exactly how the man died. Aer Lingus confirmed an incident on its Lisbon service in a statement. The airline said: "Aer Lingus flight EI 485 Lisbon to Dublin, diverted into Cork due to a medical emergency on board. "There were 168 guests and 6 crew members on board. "The flight landed safely at 1740 local time."
Source Update:
A female passenger travelling on board the Aer Lingus flight on which a man died after "running amok" in the cabin has been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking. This sounds too much like the beginning of a zombie/epidemic movie.
Sounds like drugs and then an OD?
Sounds like rabies. I wonder if it was something like that or some sort of drug overdose.
an amphetamines "OD" is just a really fast hearbeat, it shouldn't make you bite people
an amphetamines "OD" is just a really fast hearbeat, it shouldn't make you bite people
It was probably cut or he had underlying problems
Sounds like drugs and then an OD?
no zombies [editline]19th October 2015[/editline]
Sounds like rabies. I wonder if it was something like that or some sort of drug overdose.
again zombies
It was probably cut or he had underlying problems
Amphetamines can simply cause psychosis. It doesn't have to be cut, nor does the user need to have underlying symptoms. Look up Amphetamine-induced psychosis.
going with psychosis from drug use. happens a lot.
Maybe carrying baggies in his stomach which could've burst
Maybe carrying baggies in his stomach which could've burst
LOL "just a smuggling job, nbd, just shove it up in there" mid-flight.. aaaaaaaaaaaand fuck, chewing somebodies face off.
couldn't help but think of fringe
Perhaps he had a tumor or something, but it definitely sounds like he had some sort of a neurological issue that made him do that and then sub-sequentially killed him.
Patient Zero.
No quarantine 0/10 humanity. Would not be born again if I had the chance
I'd be shitting my pants if I was the guy who got bit.
he probably had encephalitis. increased pressure on the brain will make you go nuts.
a condom full of meth burst in his intestines
may not have been Irish.
Really unusual behavior for someone not Irish I guess
