Recently I've been playing L.A. Noire and love it alot but can't find anything else that's similar to it, and I thought that if there are any other similar games someone on FP would know.
There's a classic PS1/PC game called Discworld: Noir, which is of course a game set in, of course, the Discworld, the game takes place in Ankh-Morpork, yo play as Lewton, the first and only private investigator to ever run in Ankh-Morpork. Absolutely brilliant game.
I don't really think it's what you're looking for but it seems a decent enough excuse to plug Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective which is a stupidly good game.
Wolf among us
Ace Attorney?
Wolf among us
I've played this too, another great game.
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth
You're a private investigator for the first part but it's more of an FPS shooter. It's an absolutely amazing game though and often overlooked
Deadly Premonition :v:
Spy Fox
Snatcher.
Really most hidden object games based on detective shit are not exactly bad. The presentation is horrible like, from the get go, but once you get past that the content is solid.
not sure if it is considered one, but indigo prophecy was pretty cool back in my day.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
GHOST TRICK
If you've liked ace attorney, play it, it's from the same people that made it
Both are DS games, but you can emulate them if need be. They also both made their way to IOS, except Ghost Trick looks a lot better on IOS then Ace Attorney does
Blade Runner. Worth it for the interactive Voight-Kampff tests alone.
I suggest you get into Brainfuck VN's, you'll like them.
Are the Sherlock Holmes adventure games any good? That might be a good bet since Sherlock Holmes is the most famous detective.

no but Heavy Rain is really good, unlike Beyond Two Souls imo
Meet and Fuck Detective RPG
To be honest, Papers, please has some detective elements.

Bloody MnF... Only one bloody lesbian one (and called MnF Lesbian implying there's not going to be another) and even that has optional heterosexual disgustery.
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, 1991 release for the MS-DOS is nostalgia trip for many.

Only if you fail at the minigame though.
Plus worst girl wins too so fuck that game.

Also rip Cing, you left us too soon.
I genuinely didnt know Hotel Dusk had a sequel. Thanks.

It's unfortunately not well known and got a limited release, just as Cing went under. It really finalizes the plot, it's also set in 1980.
