I need some game which I can easily jump into and will take most of my free time. Plus I need to be able to close it any time. I don't like RPG and stuff that requires Creativity (Like Minecraft or Terraria)
Cookie Clicker
this shit and candy box gave me a wicked headache the longer I spent time on them
Might I recommend the Creatures series? You can pick up all 4 real ones for 11 dollars on GOG. Pretty good little software toy, caters to both the casual 'take care of your pets' folks and the guys who like building your own creatures, gadgets and rooms. http://www.gog.com/game/creatures_exodus http://www.gog.com/game/creatures_the_albian_years Avoid the FTP game that's been in dev hell for the last year though. It has all the signs of a FTP disaster and will likely crash and burn spectacularly if they ever get it out.
Cookie Clicker
don't do it [editline]9th October 2013[/editline] in all seriousness, i recommend the binding of isaac + the DLC, which is $8 in total, once you get a hang of the game mechanics and get used to the difficulty it is a very fun game that lasts a long ass time especially for the cost, and it actually has an interesting story and a very unique setting, and probably one of my favourite soundtracks of all time. just listen to this shit:
Are we all forgetting the sims? I just got sims 3 for the first time monday and i've already logged 30 hours.

cortex command, the fun comes from the physics for me at least, I throw up my bases in under a minute but you could do more if you wanted
War thunder tends to eat up my time when I get into it, and its free
Spelunky, if you have a gamepad, it is well worth $15
Spore FTL : Faster Than Light Mirror's Edge Planetary Annhilation Garry's Mod (I have over 2000 hours adding up both my steam accounts) APB Reloaded is pretty good Mount & Blade saga Age of Chivalry (FUCK CHIVALRY MEDIEVAL WARFARE) S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Rogue Legacy is amazing, eats up time like you wouldn't believe.
Bejeweled Twist in Zen mode. HOLY SHIT. You will be up till 4:30am.
the Borderlands games are quite good 'time eaters' due to their fairly long campaigns and loot systems.
Rating others useful.
Sins of a Solar empire and Galactic Civilisation 2 can eat up a lot of your free time. A game of Sins can last 10hrs + against the ai on a 10 player map (with 1x game speed but can be increased). Galactic civ 2 can also last a long time on huge maps. Both games support save games.
Pick up one of the Civilization games
You can get Civ V for free! https://goldenjoysticks.greenmangaming.com
