The usual 'sports' tips, get close up, shoot at a wide angle, keep the normal crowd out of your shots. A wider aperture would be nice for most of these shots, so it separates the boarder from the background and adds a little more atmosphere to the scene. Doin' good, make some money dag nabbit
You're a real go-getter codeball, I've always liked that about you. Doin' good indeed, especially at your age.
I'm actually a lazy faggot, but thanks. Wide aperture would be great but you probably know wide angle at 3.5 is gonna equal deep DoF. [editline]12th April 2011[/editline] anybody got a spare 70-200 f/2.8 for me?

its a dry slope iirc
we had a discussion about this elsewhere, it's like a plastic carpet made of toothbrush bristles rugburrrrrrrrrrn :byodood:
our newest video
OK video but terrible choice of music, doesn't fit at all.
Hmm that video reminded me that I need to go boarding again. Hell it's been a year and all my stuff is covered in layers of dust. Oh neat video. I agree with B-hazard though. Needs music that fits better.
it was that or ratatat/banging dubstep [editline]20th June 2011[/editline] but yeah we had an audio block [editline]20th June 2011[/editline] we had no ideas
Off the top of my head. I don't know. Watch some well-put-together skate videos for ideas.
I found the video to be really, really repetitive with shots that really aren't all that engaging. If you're going to be using tele's you need to be using a tripod, having it so shaky just looks shit. I think to make it really interesting you should have got as close as possible (under the jump maybe) ang got some insane wide angle shots of the skaters going over your head. This would probably be my favourite skating video: I know that you can't do what he's doing(stedicams, etc) but what really makes it work is how it has a lot of motion, and it is all so fluid.
DID SOMEBODY SAY PHOTOS? I'd love it if I knew any really talented snowboarders or skiers. You should try longer exposures and panning so you can blur the background
The first one is really awesome, but it'd be better if the entirety of the ski was in the frame.
