This map pack looks like a lot of fun. Especially Heavy Metal. Also, was Oasis on the Bad Company demo for the 360 or was it Harvest Day? Or something else completely?
Is the map pack free?
This map pack looks like a lot of fun. Especially Heavy Metal. Also, was Oasis on the Bad Company demo for the 360 or was it Harvest Day? Or something else completely?
Oasis was on the demo.
Is the map pack free?
The map pack is free unless you bought a used copy on the consoles.
I was unsure if the Frostbite engine could handle "new" maps. We'll see.
I stopped caring when every "map pack" that was released was just an existing map but with new modes, really none of these map packs are map packs considering it's taken from pre-existing areas either from hte first game or from single player.
Yes the map pack is free.
Oh YES Oasis! [editline]1st December 2010[/editline] Fuck and Harvest day? It's like christmas.

So it's not "X map now with Y gamemode!". I honestly won't mind them giving some more free content, and I'll definitely enjoy playing Oasis again.

As far as I know, Bad Company 2 shipped with 8 maps, which didn't even work on all gamemodes. So in reality, up until now the "Map Packs" were simply gamemodes being added to existing maps, which should really have been there from day 1. That said, it is nice that we are finally getting new maps for Bad Company 2, as I really enjoyed the game but I did find myself getting bored of the maps very quickly. It will be good playing Oasis again without having the entire attacking team shooting eachother so they can whore the artillery.

Activision would sell each for 15$

This is why I love Dice and EA.
There's quite a size difference between BC2 maps and MW2 maps. Balancing takes a fuckload longer on BC2 Even though Port Valdez's chokepoint (3rd set of MCOMs) is terrible.
Might get me to play this again.
I need to redownload this game again.
heavy metal, good map but holy shit it's low on vehicles,it's fine on "da choppas" though. Oasis,it's like an office,so many boxes to sit in. Specact not for free...if going as far as buying literally pixels, then buying a hat in tf2 is better choice.
Is it finally out. I played last night and nothing showed up.
Aw I was hoping for Ascension That map fucking rocked in BC1
I'm surprise they actually made the map packs free. Must be a break threw.
YES OASIS FUCK YES OH MY GOD FUCK YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSsss [editline]2nd December 2010[/editline] @ Nexus The map packs were always free. All 6 of the ones that came before this.
Heavy Metal is fucking amazing, reminds me of the old BF2 maps.
All these BC1 maps really make me miss the guided recon missile they had in the first one :(
After playing Black Ops, and then coming back to Bad Company 2, you can clearly see which one is the better game (No bandwagon)
After playing Black Ops, and then coming back to Bad Company 2, you can clearly see which one is the better game (No bandwagon)
Depends on the player. Some people like the simplicity of BO (along with killstreaks and etc) while others like the complication of BC2 (along with vehicles and etc) [editline]2nd December 2010[/editline] I say complication because of bullet ballistics, destroyable terrain, and the like.

It's all what you prefer, like you said. But Black Ops just feels like MW2, in a different location.
