I usually get between 5-10 msn add's a day, which is normal because I run a large youtube channel, but i may (or may not) have accepted one in particular that may be dodgey. I was playing xbox and I noticed about 20 msn invites on screen, so i was like okay.. wtf at first and I accepted a few blindly (just to get back to my game) and then i noticed most of the email addresses were the same and it had the name "Hook" and "Anon" in there somewere. Now with Anon my first thought of course was 4chan, but I've never posted this msn email there or anywere malicious like that so it's clearly some douchebag from youtube doing it. I really don't want to lose this msn account because I've had it since like 2001 or something it's even still a @msn.com account. I ran AVG which found about 100 "Warning" items but no malicious things but when I try to remove these warning items it says I don't have permission and asks me to remove as a power user, then it tires to delete them and tells me the files cannot be removed so I'm also asking how to have 100% control over what is and isn't modified on my PC? ie full admin/power user rights/permissions because it's also stopping me from other things. Any idea on how to remove these spammers/hooks? Edit: Running Windows 7 RC1 btw and I've barely got any downloaded software installed. [editline]11:51PM[/editline] Here's a picture of what the adds look like, there's about 50 there just now I only moved a few about so you can see the kind of names. It's just a bunch of stuff like that.. but it won't let me delete it, it says I don't have permission even when it asks "Remove in Power-User mode" and that UAC thing comes up and I say yes, it still says no.
