Hasn't this game been on sale quite a lot? Is it any good by the way?
Its great! Easy to pickup but hard to master, check out the paradox game thread for more information, it also has a Game of Thrones mod which makes it the best place to play a GoT game.
Which is better Victoria 2 or CK 2? I'm unsure which is the better buy.
[QUOTE=tesher07;36278585]Which is better Victoria 2 or CK 2? V2's warfare system is very easy as you can just spam units and pump the industry with loans and subsidiaries, but CK2 has a more demanding warfare system where you raise levies from your vassals. Crusader Kings 2 is more like an RPG with lots of character based events, it's got a similar way of micromanagement but I personally think it's better designed and less tedious. There's also a focus on marrying off your children to other places in order to gain allies and hope to gain other kingdoms/duchies/counties. You also gain income from taxes, which can be increased by either changing the laws or by building the correct structures in your cities/temples/castles to increase tax income. Taxes are quite key in my opinion as they mean you can build more structures and also carry out bribery, assassinations and the employment of mercenaries to bolster your levy armies. And if you're good enough like me you end up with tonnes of cash, piety and prestige and have a large land mass. Definite reccomendation from me! there is also a demo which lets you play for 15 years.
And I bought it at the 50% off sale a few hours ago. :suicide: I feel incredibly dumb right now, why didn't I predict this...
