I'm not sure if I'm allowed to open threads for virus removal help, it doesn't say anything in the rules so here goes.
So every time I look up something on google and click a link it redirects me to clickorati.com for a second, then it goes to the actual web page I clicked on. I noticed this and looked it up, and from what I read I'm quite sure it's a virus trying to steal my shit or something.
I've been looking up ways to remove it, but all I find is adverts for a "clickorati remove tool" that is a virus in itself, I haven't been able to find an authentic explanation on how to remove it. Some pages explain how to remove it using regedit and such, but on those same pages the clickorati remove tool is advertised, so I can't trust them. Malwarebytes doesn't find anything, I'm at a loss.
I already removed it from my Chrome search engines.
I use Chrome by the way, and win 7.
ps:
what's the best free real time antivirus? I've tried AVG, Avira and Microsoft Security essentials, not sure if they work or not since most of the time they don't find anything. I'd like some advice from FP as well.
the best realtime av I've used and tested is avast. but for your problem, run MBAM.
If MBAM doesn't get it, you can also try HitmanPro
I've already tried scanning with MBAM, it doesn't find anything.

ok I'll give that a try.
hitman pro didn't find anything. but for some reason it's not redirecting me to that website anymore. thats good
try running avast/your av to see whether it finds it?
