If you are like me, when you have a computer you spilt your hard drive to 2.
One with only windows and the vital programs. And another with everything else.
So I was just installing COD:WAW but I needed to patch this game.
And of course it has that stupid ass, to update to 1.5 you need to have version 1.4
So I had fun downloadin all the patches from 1.1 to 1.5
That's not bad, but here is the thing.
When the installer starts it starts to extracting the stuff it will need. Where does it do that?
Of course on the C drive, THAT HAS NO SPACE.
Seriously I can't understand why can't you choose, where can the temp files go?
It's really annoying.
The other thing is that EA has a idiot decision to save the games to the documents again, that is of course on the Windows only drive.
Is there any way, so stuff like this does not go to the windows only drive?
Like the temp. install files and savegames?
It's really annoying I only have like 1gigs of space in that drive and every fucking installer want's to use that place, not the other HD with ~50 gigs of free space.
So is there any way to make the installers and stuff "happening" anywhere but not on my windows only HD?
Because c:// is the main drive. Thats why.

Okay did a little cleanup of Fallout 3 savegames.
Seriously there should be an option, where you can chose where does the game wanna put the save files.
You can change windows temp directory.
I haven't done it since XP so I will have to look but it should be under advanced configuration options when you say My Computer > Properties. I will edit this post with more exact instructions.
Okay under My computer > Properties > Advanced System Settings > Environment Variables
You can change your User and System TEMP and TMP locations.
