I hope they're really efficient with the flight paths, because getting to places without it ALWAYS sucked.
Maybe only allow Druids to fly.
Maybe only allow Druids to fly.
yeah no that would start up the greatest shitstorm of this era
So let me get this straight, you include a flying mount in the WoD collectors edition but want to ban it in the actual expansion?

They've banned it for the same reason it wasn't available in all the other expansions. (Cold Weather Flying, Wisdom of the Four Winds) They want you to experience the content and see the regions. I would've been more surprised if they allowed flying. The biggest difference here seems to be that it stays unavailable even on level 100.

I don't see anything wrong with having a scenic path to your destination, flying up as high as you can into the clouds just removes the experience of the world. As long as they make Draenor a place people actually WANT to walk or travel through then I'm ok with this. Visual AND audio assets are going to be absolutely crucial.
I suppose I can live with that. I just hope that, as Friendly said, the environment will be absolutely stunning. Literally nothing less will do. While I didn't mind riding around everywhere in MoP until level 90, there were some zones that were better than others. The Dread Wastes comes to mind; that place was absolutely dreadful to go through, simply because it was dull and filled with annoying bugs.
as long as the pvp zone they're including can be bypassed/doesn't auto-flag you so i'm not accosted by some filthy weeaboo on my way to pick flowers or whatever i'm pretty much fine with this flight is a fun convenience and i've argued pretty relentlessly against removing it in the past but tbh if it's mos def happening it isn't really a huge dealio
yeah sure, make us walk everywhere now we can't fly up towards that really tall tree or building that looks pretty from far away

People don't even have time to escape since rogues and druids go ahead to pop bleeds and poisons AoE.

Blizz is doing this because they never liked the flying aspect, it was a quick solution to a nasty problem Wrath/Cata created. They like players to see they put time and effort into things, add a bit of difficultly because due to flying the game is cheese.
The trivialization of travel is one of the things that drove me away from this game in 2009, didn't even feel like an MMO anymore, throw in zone phasing and dungeon finder and it's basically diablo only not as fun... [editline]29th April 2014[/editline] This sounds like a step in the right direction though.
If the flight paths are quick and a reasonable price, I don't fancy 10g per flight path. Many not be much but overtime it will stack up
Im not sure how to feel about this. One hand getting places is going to be irritating, but on the other it will make Draenor seem so much larger..
It's been so long since I stopped playing Wow, but didn't they say they were doing this for Pandaria and then caved in and allowed flying again at end level? Could of sworn I heard something about that.
