• New RAM - Not Booting

So I've decided to get more RAM. These infact- |C|L|I|C|K| When I installed them to my machine it wouldn't even boot, not even any screen input. It would power up but thats it. I've reset my BIOS and CMOS. Nothing. The computer just sits there like a lemon. I've taken them out and popped in my old ones for now, of which are specd' like this- |C|L|I|C|K| What's the problem then, fellas'? ----- Edit: Ah... there for AMD not ASUS motherboards... now don't I look like a phucking plonker.
Have you tried opening a boot ramification display on the motherboard set-up storage device cable? It should display an error message on the BIOS T_98 setting stating what is the actual problem. Worst case scenario, you have to jolt up a few bytes of interstitial CRAM.
1) You mixed two different speeds of RAM (old: PC2-5300 new: PC2-6400) 2) The RAM you bought is high-density, which many memory controllers don't support. 3) The new RAM is generic garbage from Hynix and assembled who knows where. It's not surprising your machine isn't booting.
