So, Facepunch, I have a plight to get ripped. This girl I'm into only likes manly men and fucking assholes with beards. If I can't beat them, join them, right? Plus I've always wanted to not be a scrawny white fuck all my life. I was wondering if anyone knew a place to work out, but not in public. Public gyms smell like Vaseline and I really hate working out in front of people. No drugs. Here's something for you to start out on. 30 minutes of cardio (helps burn fat, and tone your body) 3 sets of push ups (as many as you can do. will help your chest, biceps, triceps) 3 sets of crunches (as many as you can do. will help your abs.) 3 sets of pull-ups (as many as you can do. will help your pecks, biceps, lats) Do this for a couple of months, eat right, and you'll notice differences. Also, make sure you dedicate your time to this, do it 3 times a week, some times 4. Don't bother if you're going to do this about 1 to 2 times a week. Takes time and commitment to yourself. [b] Then Maybe This [/b] 40 Pushups (chest to floor) 10 Supermans (reverse pushups) 20 Situps -rest- 30 Pushups 20 Supermans 20 Situps 10 Side Crunches -rest- 20 Pushups 30 Supermans -30 second break- 20 Situps -rest- 10 Pushups 40 Supermans 20 Situps -stretch- Every other day. Jog the other days. Eat right. Sleep right. Fuck bitches. Get money.

All you need to do is (assuming you are a skinny bastard) is eat a calorie surplus, and workout mostly chest and arms (that's just for this figure, this is not what I recommend). Then when you gained muscle, try and cut down a bit to get the definition, since it's hard to get lean and muscular at the same time ( but not impossible ). A lot of it can be accomplished by bodyweight exercises like pullups, chinups, dips and pushups which can all be done at home. Just come to the bodybuilding/weightlifting thread and we'll try and help you out!

Assuming you got no cash or little: Just work out a decent routine you can do around your room/house. stick your feet under the couch and do sit ups, grab ahold of something hanging and do some chin ups/ push ups, that kind of thing. Don't be looking for instant results, you're going to have to wait at least a month to see any LASTING or noticeable physical changes.

The only way is to take pheromones/hormones to get buff fast. That or bring yourself through Army Bootcamp which ranges from 8-10 weeks.

It's like the toilet of the internet working out world. Granted, there are a few people who know what they're talking about, but those make up only 5-10% of users, the rest are people using steroids/prohormones and fat/skinny kids who don't read anything and preach their beliefs as truth. Just research things up on the internet, look at some studies or something. Ironaddicts.com is a good forum, you need to be qualified to post advice there so you can't just answer people's questions without having a good rep.

All you need is a lot of protein and vigorous exercise (or neither, and just follow my first post's honest advice on how to be a man step 1)

It's just a straight forward experience. Unlike if you already have weight, you gotta go to the back of the line and start over. Start small and work your way up to the heavy weights/advanced workouts.

Go to a park and just do pull ups on bars. You can do sit ups anywhere (learn how to do oblique crunches) and buy some dumbbells/weight set and just work out at home.
