If you love rpg games in middle ages, and dont mind bugs. You should get this, all of em are great expect gothic 4
The Steam version of Gothic 3 uses the community patch that makes the game a lot better but if you're using an ATI/AMD graphics card you'll have to get the latest version of the community patch. Otherwise the game will look funky unless you disable shadows.

Need gothic 3
- Snip It was already said, nevermind.
Is Arcania really that bad? I played the demo when it was released and it felt like a solid RPG (apart from the horrible German voice acting of the protagonists girlfriend) without enough charme but there wasn't anything that annoyed me. I played through Two Worlds 2 and it left a worse impression. Is it worse than Two Worlds 2?
I never got too far in Gothic II. I went out of a tower thing then got killed by a wolf when I didn't know how to fight.

I couldn't recommend it to anyone new to the series.
Just got the Gothic Universe Edition. Perfect for my collection of classic RPGs that I can download at a whim. Is the Enhanced Edition of 3 worth the 2.50 when I have the original?
just get 1 and 2, 3 and 4 are pretty terrible imo
Well, he can't because the deal has expired.
I don't understand why so hate on 3 and 4. Sure they were not as good as 1 and 2 but they weren't that bad.
