Well, this probably isn't that original but not many of the other photographers that I know even know of this technique.
The aim is to shape the light by cutting out a piece of black cardboard, putting it over the front of the lens but with a hole right in the middle shaped however you want the light to be shaped.
I did a wonky love-heart.
These are 5 photos from 80 I took, would it look good as a mini-series?
Printed on glossy paper. On A5 placed right next to each other so that it forms a disconnected pattern sort of thing.
Opinion? Critique? Comments? Ideas?
Constructive, please.

p.s. Don't call me sir, I'm a girl.
i don't get it, what's so great about a bunch of blurry plants with white and black shit everywhere in the background cluttering the foreground and background together in a horrible merge
Kind of an interesting technique, but not very interesting subject matter... Sir.
Is it supposed to look low quality? Because it sure does. Like you took a photo of a photo.
black and white would make it so much more artistic but make sure you do it on a mac
B&W is overused and rarely looks good anymore.

no it's really original and looks good when used for facebook pictures
stop trolling.
Meh technique is intreting but could'nt you really find some better subjects than those boring ass flower bullshit that has been allready overused by everyone and their dog since jesus first discovered fucking toast.
I like the first one really, the light from the trees in the background reminds me of flower petals flying around, with the flower in front of them it gives a form of illusion that they come flying from it.
However, that is clearly just a lucky shot aided with my own interpretation of it rather than you doing a well compositioned shot with thought put into it.
Learn the basics guidelines for photography (Composition, colour contrasts, foreground middleground and background, depth, depth of field, aperture, shutter, ISO etc etc) and get yourself some new subjects.
it looks like po' man's macro.
I like the second one, but it would be a million times better if it wasn't blurry.
Is it your camera which is teh sux, or are you maybe just saving them as lossy jpegs?
Sometimes the plants aren't even completely in the shot :raise: it looks very unprofessional
Sir, these are just blurry.
Came in here expecting something original. Was utterly dissapointed.
IMO, it's not even passable as aesthetically pleasing. :(
Sir, you need to be more original.
Sir, you need to improve the quality, buy a new camera , sir.

I like this one, but it would look look way better in higher quality/better focus.

sir means cheese in my country
sir means sir in my country
maybe it's because I'm american.
Original? No. I have plenty of pictures of pretty flowers that came default with my OS. Artistic? Well, get us some more high quality pictures, and you might just be there.

:colbert:
anyways, I preferred your first critique set more than this. It's an interesting thought, don't get me wrong, but if you place five of these shots side by side it gets stale by the time you get to second one. Pick one and keep it in a collection of other shots and it will stand out much better.

Good point (:
I shall try that.
This technique is incredibly common. However, you executed it horribly.
