The issue is that it's their platform and system. Honestly, I think that they have the right to close off their own product from an app that directly competes with them on their own system.
Now, if the app was on all platforms and they tried to get it banned on all platforms, then that would be a problem in my eyes.

Microsoft has been forced make it easier to pick different browsers in Windows instead of forcing you to use IE.
Why is Apple allowed to lock down their OS and the apps when Microsoft isn't?
