I've been wanting a nice dedicated gaming PC for years, now.
I need a nice pc that can run space engineers or elite dangerous. I don't want anything fancy, no beefy cases with LEDs everywhere or anything. No fancy gaming keyboards, no CD drive, etc. id also like at least 500 GB. Thank you.
What is your budget?

$450
On, and monitors aren't a problem because where I'm from, nice 19" inch flatscreen LCD monitors over where I live are pretty cheap.
So what do you not need for this build Monitor, peripherals, OS?

No OS, I have ways of getting that. Keyboard and mouse ill just get for cheap from one of those newegg bundles. No CD drive. That's really it. I don't want a stupidly huge case either, something thats cheap and on the down low.

Comes out to $459 after rebates which is about the best price/performance ratio build for your budget if you want to save $30 you can remove the Hyper 212 Evo cooler, but I highly recommend that you don't, your temps will be considerably higher without it.
You really don't need a 212 Evo on an i3. You can go with a much cheaper cooler, just not the stock cooler.
This one is perfect:

I would get that because its cheap, but you dont really need it. tThe stock cooler really is fine.
I know its all the hype to hate stock coolers, but Intels newest lineups are actually really solid and quiet.

Really? Because the one that came with my 4690 was absolutely garbage :v:
And the TX3 isn't only cheap, it's actually really good at the same time
The one that came with my 4670k was fine for a couple weeks that I had to use it, and I'm a freak with temperatures. I've also put dozens of i3 ones into matx cases with GPU's and they were acceptable.
