Basic question, my friend got a new case, it come with brass standoffs, we installed the standoffs and it turns off then turns off, we tried the computer not in the case and it worked, when its in the case it doesnt work, is it shorting out? All the standoffs are installed I cant see how this is happening. Oh and the case isnt a well know company one so I gues its just bad quality THanks
Standoffs are extremely conductive. However, if installed properly, nothing bad should happen since the area where screws are is not connected to anything with wires. If the case has a lot of standoff holes, check if you maybe installed a tad too many under the board.
THANK YOU problem solved
