I recently made a timelapse "montage" of clouds, it all looks good so far, but I don't have a song for it, and that's why I'm asking you guys for advice.
I'm looking for something slow and chill, not too fast paced. And no lyrics either, kinda like Boards of Canada or Ulrich Schnauss, but they both feel kinda overused. So if anyone here know of some song that's pretty unknown and fitting for a timelapse, please post it here.
Dictaphone's Lament by Tycho

inb4 fuckton of post-rock
(which is actually great for timelapses mostly)

But I don't know what Boards of Canada sound like so this is like, nothing like them probably.
I should add that this timelapse will be 50 seconds max. So if the song had a really good part that's only 50 seconds long, that would work.
I think Fat Old Sun by Pink Floyd would be great, maybe if you could splice 50 seconds together where theres no vocals and just the guitar etc.
All of these are good, and I'm probably going to use some of them in my future timelapses.
But the one Artemis posted was definitely the most fitting one for this video in particular.
Thanks guys!
Earth's Coda Maestoso is pretty much perfect.

You should also check out Pink Floyd's One Of These Days, which is very nice too.

I will still be looking at all posts, since I am planning on making alot more timelapses. And good music for them is pretty much crucial.

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for but I like looking up at the clouds to it

If you still need music, here's a very good one. Listen to it all the way through, there are calm bits as well

Or, pretty much anything by 'helios' (brilliant songs)
There are some great bits in Love Like A Sunset by Phoenix you could use.

1:20
This has a fast beat that would match very well with fastmoving clouds and a nice big, ambient and calm feel to it.

Really like this one. As you said, the part from 1:20 and forward would be really fitting for pretty much any timelapse. I gotta remember this one.
Depending on what mood you want the video to be in...

I guess this song would be more of a preference thing, it absolutely blows my mind so I think it would be good for a time-lapse, but not everyone likes my music.
