The woman, known as Meriem Ben Mohamed, said she was attacked after officers stopped her in a car with her fiance. The policemen denied the charges, saying they found the couple in an "immoral position". Attempts to charge the couple with indecency led to public outcry. Tunisia's President Moncef Marzouki offered a state apology to the woman, who was 27 at the time of the attack.
Rapists get sent to prison, prisoners take an interest to them... Boom goes the dynamite
Rapists get sent to prison, prisoners take an interest to them... Boom goes the dynamite
And the circle remains unbroken...
And the circle remains unbroken...
Yup unfortunately, the sentence should have been 20 or 30 years but 7? The law is full retard apparently
Yup unfortunately, the sentence should have been 20 or 30 years but 7? Not to sound cynical or anything, but the guys only raped one woman. Seven years for rape is enough.

That really doesn't sound fair at all People in the US get 10 years for illegal possession of a firearm or drugs but these guys get 7 years? For rape? That's kinda ridiculous
Rapists get sent to prison, prisoners take an interest to them... Boom goes the dynamite
That's only really an american thing.
That's only really an american thing.
Then i guess i'm missing the point of why the article is getting winner ratings then? If they're gonna be out in 7 years and the only thing they lose is their jobs then i don't get it, unless everyone recognizes them and won't hire them and beats the crap out of them then thats good enough i suppose Or do they treat women differently than we do?

To see the police officers found guilty and jailed is a victory for both women's rights and the independent judiciary in post-revolutionary Tunisia.

7 years is a fucking long time.
