no but i've been doing more work on a song I wrote and I think it's done now. here's a recording of the midi: the thing that starts up about half way through is a really bad basson midi, but i'm finding people to play the parts. the question is, would it be best with real instruments, or with part of it using some electronic sounds? alternatively, i could run the whole thing through some sort of effects, if you all think that would sound better than plain. also, does anyone have any awesome names for it? i really can't think of anything more than pulse.

Definitely think the bassoon should be real if you can manage it. It sounds pretty interesting as is, but the bassoon, though pretty good, has that kind of.. Annoying ring to it.

That intro riff is just begging for some soft vocals. Of course it would sound better with natural instruments. MIDI rarely sounds better than real instruments. :v: I still feel this song definitely needs some vocals. The name "Pulse," combined with the downtrodden feel of the song, just paints a tapestry of lyrical potential. I think it can go places. Honestly, I listen to that intro riff, and I just imagine vocals like the first half of this song just fitting in so snugly:

Hey cheeseball, it's Tempest, I don't know if I'm still steam friends with you or not. This is actually really nice, what do you use?
