After Wal-Mart refuses to make Confederate Flag cake for man he orders and receives a Daesh flag cak
A man in Louisiana is asking for an explanation from Walmart after his request for a Confederate flag cake at one of its bakeries was rejected, but a design with the ISIS flag was accepted.
Chuck Netzhammer said he ordered the image of the Confederate flag on a cake with the words, "Heritage Not Hate," on Thursday at a Walmart in Slidell, Louisiana. But the bakery denied his request, he said. At some point later, he ordered the image of the ISIS flag that represents the terrorist group.
"I went back yesterday and managed to get an ISIS battleflag printed. ISIS happens to be somebody who we're fighting against right now who are killing are men and boys overseas and are beheading Christians," Netzhammer said.
They obviously didn't realise what it was. Still funny tho.

oh that makes it ok
nvm the confederates are definitely worse
sorry for judging you ISIS, you aren't as bad as I thought.
That's a really shitty rendition of the flag, though. The circle is way too round!
"killing are men and boys"
Tsk tsk, bad form, ABC News.

someone out there is more offended by the confederate flag than people who are actively currently killing thousands with a worse ideology than the confederates ever had
that or just didn't know I mean either way
Are you sure the Daesh flag on the cake is not a bunch of dildos and butplug symbols?

People being unaware of important shit happening anywhere other than their back garden isn't exactly a new thing, although it's something that's scarily common considering how easy it is to access information nowadays.

wal mart bakery hires some really incompetent decorators, you need to go to a local bakery to get anything decent
Low level employees don't make corporate policy, nor do they give enough of a shit to refuse anything not specifically disallowed.

It's ironic in a way that a flag from history is not allowed while a flag of a group that is currently murdering innocent people is fine and dandy.

I could order a cake depicting a flipped over plastic humvee that's been blown up by a roadside bomb with toy soldiers caked in red frosting scattered around it, and they'd make the fucking cake.
The whole Confederate flag thing is because people have their heads up their own asses at the moment and are desperately scapegoating to avoid facing actual issues. It's been serving as a nice distraction from the class warfare angle, though. Has raised up the ire between members of the underclass nice and fiery. Wouldn't be surprised if it's used as platform for the 2016 elections.
Wal-Mart banning the sale of the Confederate Flag isn't a bad thing, and this front line employee wasn't allowed to make a cake as a result of company policy. Given that they had no explicit rule against the cake he wanted, it was made.
It's not that ridiculous to say a symbol of racism and internal conflict in the US shouldn't be manufactured anymore.
guys obviously the isis flag is more hip than the confederacy flag now

And that's why this whole ordeal is ironic.

To be fair the Daesh flag is just a far more topical symbol of hate and conflict.
This is fucking golden.
The confederate flag thing should have stopped at taking down the one flying on government owned property, that's fine and I actually support that, the only flag our government should fly on their property is the countries flag and the states flag.
Anything else, like banning touristy mugs, or these cakes, or taking it off shirts is fucking ridiculous.

Everybody who rated disagree on this post is an idiot who didn't read the article:
A spokesman for Walmart told ABC News, "An associate in a local store did not know what the design meant and made a mistake. The cake should not have been made and we apologize."
