The past 6 months of my life, I lost it all. Car, home, family, (in the sense brothers and family) and now I have found myself in the far fringes of New Delhi, India. Basically, I fucked off huge, and my dad was one of those Post-Military, beaten in boarding school kids in India. So he did anything a normal person would do: He got old school when he didn't like my grades. One day, after many months of shitty grades and he decided he had had enough. He formally withdrew me from High School in Sandy Oregon, and decided to ship me off to India as a lesson. Now I want out of here, and so now I've got to save money to get a ticket, etc (Fuck, international air travel is not cheap.) a grand total of about $2000. That's right, me an American teen whom is striving to survive on Indian wage with a goal of $2000. Lucky I'm employed as the Product Specialist of Digital Rapids in Asia through some connections, but none the less, it amounts to the same amount as $5.50 an hour. That's about 25,000 rupees a month. My current goal, objectively is to get back to the Portland-Trimet/Gresham area and (attempt) to enroll at MHCC for a start. But first, I'll need to apply and pass the GED test before I can even think of enrolling in ANY CC.
It's needless to say I've grown up in the past 6 months out here. The heat, stench, death, pollution, traffic, people, volume of people, violence and lack of safety have really put things in perspective for me. You could say this is a sort of Memo for me to read some time from now to look back and see how things have gone.
For now I am living refuge with my Grandparents over here in Delhi. And incase if it wasn't obvious I am half Indian, however I don't have the Moo-hamaed look thank fuck.
Anyways, pressing on and skipping all the social masturbation, I am arriving to my main point of this thread:
I'm going to use this thread as a Week to week, day to day log of how things are going. I will upload pictures and stuff. Enjoy.
tl:dr | Do your fucking schoolwork or you might get shipped off to an archaic third world country.

I know my paragraphing is shit, i'm tired.
Holy shit, I feel really bad for you. Certainly you could've fought back against your dad sending you? I mean he can't just force you to, you could've got emancipated or told the cops or a social worker?
Feels like I've seen those pictures before
Did you post them in some other thread before?
Especially this one

It's not even worth it. I turn 18 May, so that should give me time to round up like $600. Who knows, I might just pitch a tent. Works out cheaper in the end.

Yeah another thread I posted.
I got like a total of $400 USD from that iPad, but I put it into the house rent fund haha
I heard it smells like shit there.
My dad lived in India for 2 years in the 80s while doing anthropological research. He enjoyed his stay, but it was really rough. The diseases, pollution, and thugs will screw your shit up really fast.
Good luck, dude.

Thanks. P.S. I have asthma. Lulz
Wow, and I thought it sucked when my dad took away my computer for a week. Your dad is hardcore.
When you get back to the states go into court with your family for being assholes.
Looks like your dad the right thing, your becoming self sufficient instead of being a loser. You will be a better person when you get out of it.
Aren't you the guy that was concerned by a huge gang gathering next door with guns and drugs?
Pack up and walk home.

That thread was gold...
Damn man.
As cliche as it is, you will totally look back on this some day and appreciate it.
It's going to suck shit until then, but it will be for the better in the end. A lot of people just fuck around and never actually do anything with their lives. I had a friend who dropped out of high school because he just couldn't be bothered to go, but he also couldn't really keep a job, because he was too busy getting high and fucking around to be bothered with that either. So, with not jobs, or GED, or high school diploma, he couldn't really do anything. So he switched to selling drugs, but couldn't keep himself from doing his own supply. That just ended up with him in debt, which to keep from getting beat, he ended up selling all of his instruments and possessions (The kid is a musical genius. He could sit down with any instrument and learn it in a few hours...it was ridiculous.)
Later he would get married, then divorced a few months later for fighting with his wife, and now i'm not really sure what he does.
Point of all that rambling is that a lot of people never get that vital reality check to wake them up and stop them from just coasting through life.
It's good to see you are.
Well you've got enough to go on the Internet.
Can you speak Indian ?
holy shit i'd totally break down in that type of situation
hang in there dude
You know you can always just go to the embassy...
your dad is an asshole
Kinda extreme, but sometimes people got to learn the hard way to truly understand.
Can you speak Indian ?
what
Reading your previous threads makes me think this one is full of shit. Either that or your previous ones are shit
your dad is an asshole
Not in a few years he won't be.
You still haven't taken any pictures of tech support.
I heard to avoid shaking with your left hand in India.
I heard to avoid shaking with your left hand in India.
That's basically everywhere.
OP will get extremely rich.
Heres how.
He will write this as a movie script: Slumdog millionaire 2.
Take it like a man.
People live in India, why can't you if they can?
