and to think the sims was originally developed back in 1998.
They added the Sims 3 Generations on there. Upon its release, that expansion was notorious for being considered the worst expansion to come out yet due to its lack of any meaningful content (optional canes that slow your sims down and more rabbit hole opportunities was not enough to justify the $40 dollar cost).
In terms of my favorites, Unleashed (Sims 1) and Ambitions (Sims 3) were notable for adding the most content and "changing the game", so to speak. Unleashed opened up the neighborhood and introduced pets, gardening, and an insane amount of new objects an NPC's that were the highest quality the game had seen yet. Ambitions finally allowed us to visit/control Sims at work, and it was a lot of fun being able to go around town and hunt ghosts or put out fires.
