Hey FP For Christmas i want a TV-out cable so i can connect my iPhone to my HDTV and watch movies on my TV. (Official Apple cable is €40)
Cheap renditions of these kinds of things are commonly found on places like eBay or DealExtreme but they're not genuine Apple products. Buy at your own risk, as replica cables often have misshapen connectors or rigid cables that don't fit as well as the real McCoy.
Check Amazon. They just about always have cheaper alternatives from 3rd parties. Although, I noticed on the reviews that Apple has some sort of authentication chip in the cable to prevent you from buying 3rd party cables? Is that really true?

I think you got a Cydia app to get around the Apple genuine thingy

I just saw a few thread about people complaining about a few replicas. I will go for the 40 euro then (Maybe i can get it cheaper) I am using Air Video for streaming, how it the quality and what is the framerate?
You think the video's will be blurred/bad quality when i am connecting it to a HDTV?
personally I don't think it'd be worth it 960x720 or whatever won't look great on a true hd tv plus can't you just watch them on pc

When i buy a movie i prefer to have it in "cloud" then on a DVD. Also i bought a cheap iPhone 4 TV-out cable for $1,99, (Delivery is 8 days)
