I want to get an electronic drum set for a number of reasons, mainly space and volume, but also because my band is going to start doing some more electronic and 80s pop stuff now that we may have someone who can do keys and synths. I've been mostly checking out the Alesis DM10 and the Roland TD-4. I've heard very nice things about both, and have tried both out at my local Guitar Center. I like the feel of the Roland better, plus it is $250 cheaper. However, the Alesis has more pads, offering a better variety at one time.
My main requirements are:
-under $1000
-good quality pads and module
-kick pad has enough room for double pedal
Thanks for the help!
