I bet it was blizzard
haven't felt a thing on the most populated server in the game so not a very good one
haven't felt a thing on the most populated server in the game so not a very good one
It wouldn't matter if you're on the most popular server or the least, just that they are in the same data center. That said, I've had entire Full Party's simultaneously DC and a plethora of 1-2 DCs elsewhere. If this sudden increase in DCs isn't the DOS, then it's one hell of a coincidence.
I wonder if they ever really improve the NA servers I always read about people's complaints with them, saying that the Asian datacentres performed a lot better. I played on an NA server for my first week before moving to an English populated Asian one, mostly due to ping, so I can't say I had much experience with them
haven't felt a thing on the most populated server in the game so not a very good one
The attacks shifted over to various in between servers from high level ISPs, that means not everybody will feel the impact. That is one of the reasons a lot of people from EU who play via a VPN don't feel anything or if you are lucky your routing doesn't go through those. I think NTT Servers were targets in the past weeks. The EU route to NA goes through all of their servers, if you use a VPN you don't go through them and weren't affected.
I felt it, for about 4 days I was deadlocked and could pretty much only do dungeons, since dungeon are on a different server. Otherwise teleporting, entering instanced areas like housing, questing and even fates just threw me out in an instant disconnection.
