I am getting so tired of AAA game developers and publishers releasing un-finished and broken games. It just seems to be the norm now.
Combination of increasingly faster release schedules and an over reliance on "we'll just patch it later..." mentality because of prevalence of online services and also cutting corners to meet the retarded deadlines mentioned beforehand.
I still can't quite understand how it turned out this badly. The other arkham games weren't of this quality, even if they did have problems at launch that I don't know about the most severe of them seem to have been patched by now.
There are basically two games industries right now: the console market, and the PC market. Companies which focus on the latter will occasionally do stuff in the former, but anyone in the console market pretty much just throws wet fish on a keyboard to create the PC port.

It's mostly Ubisoft and Warner Bros as of lately.

Now that the consumers have a way to give feedback the people in charge cares about (economically), it will hopefully get better from now on. WB got the message quickly.
It would have been cheaper for them to just delay the PC version.

Arkham City launched terribly, with a save-deleting glitch. It was eventually patched out, but still. Arkham Origins' bugs and glitches were neglected so that they could focus on DLC, instead.

I doubt it'll happen with Mad Max or any of WB's upcoming titles (Avalanche is developing the PC version so we're all good there)
I think they learned their lesson, and every other publisher watching this happen learned as well.

If they haven't learned, then users can just mash refund until the publisher's wallet bleeds.
