Hey guys, not sure if I'll be able to get any help with this problem but it's a long shot.
Since 2 days ago my PC has been randomly crashing, I have no idea what's causing it. It seems there's a large number of threads in various help pages with people having similar problems.
It's not being happening at any specific point, completley random. I've tried rolling back drivers, as I have the latest drivers for shit.
I haven't updated/changed anything on my computer for at least a week so it's odd that it started happening two days ago. I've tried turning off the windows power management stuff and changing my power plan to high performance instead of balanced like I've seen suggested.
I've seen a lot of help sites with people thinking it's this or that but they're really just shooting in the dark and getting nowhere from what I can see.
Anyone else had this problem and actually managed to resolve it? Really getting on my tits, the last crash fucked over my firefox so I've lost all my bookmarks and saved passwords and shit which I've just discovered can happen with firefox updates and if your computer crashes which is nice to know now!
Anyway...if anyone has had this and can help...would be appreciated with some help but I really doubt this'll be resolved. I think it's some kind of underlying issue with windows 7. Roll on SP-1
Maybe you have a RAM problem ? Only thing I can think of.
Try running Memtest.
Yeah, I contemplated something similar..would be a pain in the ass to start moving sticks about. Is memtest something I can do with win7 or is that a 3rd party program?
A 3rd party program. Search for Memtest(86x) on google.
Ah it's okay, I reinstalled win 7 today and it seems to have fixed it. Blah, fail - Suppose it'll be fixed in service pack 1 soon hopefully.
